Recent and Planned Litters

 not-so recent & planned litters ..
(no puppies available until 2009 )
but I'm more than happy to help you find a puppy before then ..

'Magic' signed off from her motherhood career on January 7th 2007 ,
producing six pups by Caesarean delivery: five girls and one boy, who have grown into delightful youngsters, now spread across the country from Perth to Brisbane, all in Collie-familar homes, where they're doing well and charming new families, friends, and those who meet them casually.
Two girls 'Ginnie' ( Miss Blue) & 'Sage' ( Miss Green) stayed at home with Mum
& Grandma & me, and will hopefully carry on the family tradition to become
our next Dogsports star and in time, mother the next generation.
.. and so it will be a couple of years before we have puppies at Collieston again..

'Sage' is a sophisticated young lady who's been shown very occasionally as a Baby & Puppy, and will hit the ring more seriously in 2008, but turned
her attention to gaining her Community Companion Dog (Obedience) title
at the age of 10 months & 3 days before the 2007 truialling year drew to a close;
with 'Ginnie' scheduled to follow in her footsteps when the new year gets going.

We've taken those steps available to us to  ensure clear eyes and good hips.
The pups are certificated by Adelaide's Veterinary Ophthalmologist
Dr. Tony Read at 6 weeks of age, and we're looking into DNA testing. ....

As you can see, we plan only to breed to produce a litter about
every 18 months-to-2 years, as 'my girls' also have a life to lead.

We held a 1st Birthday party for 'the Spring Collection' on a miserable day (just like their day of birth !) in 2001. Eight of the adolescent brood joined in... even their owners couldn't easily distinguish them apart, and it was great to see them all doing so well, one year on ... I've also visited most of them in their pet homes, as well as Tess's previous offspring here in Adelaide, and enjoy seeing 'my kids' so loved and appreciated, which I hope is always the case.
Occasionally I have one of our earlier 'pups' come to stay for a while when their own families go away on holidays, and it's gratifying to see the ease and good humour of their interaction in what must be a fairly daunting environment, showing clearly that our emphasis on temperament has taken our breeding program in the in the right direction so far, just like big brother 'Angus', 'Magic's single son from December '04, who regularly spends one day
a week back in the family fold, for a 'sleep-over' & training opportunities, as he shows great promise in both Obedience and Agility, having gained his C.C.D. with only a couple of hiccups, rapidly followed by his C.D., all with excellent scores, and his Strategic Pairs title in three runs, after very part-time training for six months, and , and finished off the year with a flourish, polishing off Agility titles in Gamblers & Jumping.
